Velstash gives developers a drop-in, fully managed Memcached instance without running or scaling the servers themselves. For each instance, Velstash offers usage metrics and performance insights. An agent acting on a user's behalf can use the Velstash API with a scoped personal API key to list and inspect that user's cache instances programmatically. Creating or deleting instances, and changing plan or payment method, are actions that can only be done on the website by the user and are not available via the API. The dashboard (where a user signs up and creates API keys) and the API itself are both served from app.velstash.io, separate from the main velstash.com site.
